post for 5/22

Today I spent the day configuring the switch. It has been interesting and I am not done yet. I meet with the network administrator to go over how the vlans on the network are configured and devised a plan that wouldn't conflict with anything currently setup. I haven't had much experience with managed switches and this one is radically different then the ones we worked with in class, so I have been reading the manual, a lot. Hopefully I will get it done soon.
